At the break of dawn today, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) delivered a pivotal blow to oppression and tyranny by liberating the area of Zuruq in North Darfur State, decisively expelling mercenary movements, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), and their allied militias linked to the terrorist Islamic Movement. The courage, discipline, and unshakable resolve of our soldiers have once again prevailed, compelling the SAF and its extremist brethren to abandon the battlefield in disgrace. The RSF reaffirms its unwavering commitment to hunting down these perpetrators of violence and injustice wherever they may attempt to seek refuge.

In their retreat, the mercenary movements revealed their vile nature by engaging in barbaric acts of ethnic cleansing against unarmed civilians in Zuruq. Their crimes included the deliberate and ruthless killing of women, children, and the elderly. These monstrous forces burned water wells, markets, healthcare centers, schools, civilian homes, and both public and private facilities in a campaign of systematic destruction aimed at erasing livelihoods and sowing despair.

These atrocities are not just acts of barbarism. They are flagrant violations of international law, including war crimes and crimes against humanity. The deliberate targeting of defenseless civilians and destruction of non-military infrastructure expose the desperation, defeat, and moral bankruptcy of the mercenary movements and their allies within the SAF and the terrorist Islamic Movement. Their strategic incompetence and cowardice on the battlefield are matched only by the cruelty of their crimes.

The RSF calls upon all regional and international organizations, particularly those committed to defending human rights, to unequivocally condemn these heinous acts. The silence of the international community cannot persist in the face of such blatant atrocities. We also urge immediate vigilance against the mercenary movements’ calculated attempts to incite tribal divisions, which serve only to deepen the wounds of conflict and advance the destructive agendas of those intent on destabilizing Sudan.

The liberation of Zuruq is more than a military achievement — it is a symbol of the RSF’s steadfast determination to safeguard the people of Sudan from the tyranny, violence, corruption, and terrorism that served as a hallmark of the former regime for more than three decades. This victory highlights the crumbling foundation of the SAF and their mercenary allies in Darfur, underscoring their inevitable defeat in the face of justice, resilience, and unity.

The RSF stands resolute in its mission to dismantle these remaining pockets of oppression across Sudan. We are resolute in our commitment to liberate our beloved country from oppression, restore dignity and democracy to our people, and forge a future defined by stability, justice, and hope for all Sudanese.
